Why Irish dance?

Because it is so much different than any other dance form.

Because it has a positive effect on the posture, discipline and self-confidence.

Because it is energetic, fun, and complicated enough to keep one’s attention on a long run.

Why Erin’s fiddle?

Because we are the biggest Irish dance troupe in Serbia.

Because we can guarantee that in our school you will be taught the genuine basics of the traditional Irish dance.

Because we collaborate with different dance groups and individual dancers, both in Serbia and internationally. We travel a lot, we perform, and take part in competitions and festivals in Serbia as well as abroad.

Because our classes take place in a dance dancing studio specially designed for Irish dance.

Because we are the first Irish dance troupe in Serbia to have a world-renowned Irish dance teacher who is registered in the largest Irish dance association - An Coimisiún le Rince Gaelacha (CLRG is expected).

And last but not least, because in our school you will get a chance not only to learn Irish dance steps, but to gain wonderful experience and many new friends as well!

What does a dance class look like?

An Irish dance class for children lasts for an hour and is held twice a week. A regular class consists of a warm up at the beginning, learning new steps or practicing the old ones, and then going through and working on the choreographies. Our classes also include a specific set of exercises which are designed to improve the posture and turnout. At the end of a class we do the streching exercises.

Who are the Irish dance teachers?

The Irish dance teachers of children groups are Biljana Pajić, registered teacher (cTCRG), Ana Kotevski and Milena Jovanović, prominent dancers of the first group and teachers themselves.

What can I learn in Irish dance classes?

In the beginning the focus is set on the steps of the soft-shoe dance, as well as on the proper posture, feet position and flexibility. After that, the classes will also include working on the basics of the hard-shoe dance. When children have learned all the basics, they continue with learning the competitive dances and coreographies. Furthermore, they are taught to distinguish/differentiate the rhythms and count tacts, as well as to work in team and in a healthy discipline.
